MoldMold is a type of fungi that can form on nearly everything - in this case the Terra Cotta army. Mold is encouraged to grow more in warm conditions - just like the Terra cotta museum. Experts have been trying to stop mold from forming on the Terra cotta army, but it's clearly not working. So this is why archaeologists and experts are working together in order to preserve these unique monuments.

MildewDo you see that white stuff on the leaf picture? That's mildew. Mildew is also a type of fungi that is also harmful to the Terra Cotta figures. Mildew is a type of disease that is minor to us but dangerous to the Terra cotta figures. Once mildew starts to form on the ancient figures,
there is no way getting it of. This is why experts try really to preserve these ancient monuments. |
GermsGerms are microbes. They are called microbes because they can only be seen under a microscope. The problem with germs and ancient monuments is that, gram are within humans and when a lot of people come to visit humans, they carry germs. Soon the germs multily and go everywhere within the museum. Experts can't do anything about that but are trying to help the Terra cotta army as much as an average human can.
